Managing jobs

The Jobs list, the side drawer, filtering, and the day-to-day workflow.

A job in the Operations Portal is a connote (consignment note) — the record of a single transport movement between a pickup and a delivery. The Jobs page is where you spend most of your day.

Navigate to Jobs in the sidebar. You’ll see:

  • Stats strip along the top: Total, Draft, Pending, Confirmed, Allocated, In Transit, Delivered, Cancelled. Each stat is clickable — clicking filters the list to that status.
  • Filters: customer, status, and a search box that matches connote number and booking reference.
  • Table: one row per job, showing the connote #, customer, route (origin → destination), amount, status badge, pickup date, and created date.

Click any row to open the side drawer with the full job details.

The drawer slides in from the right and shows:

  • Header: connote number, status badge, created date, and action buttons — Edit and Send to iDrv4.
  • References: connote number, booking reference, customer reference, job type.
  • Route: pickup and delivery addresses + time windows + distance + transit time.
  • Cargo: activity type, total packages/weight/volume/chargeable weight.
  • Packages (when present): itemised table of each package with dimensions, weight, and description.
  • Pricing: base rate, fuel levy, subtotal, GST, total.
  • Options: tailgate pickup/delivery, dangerous goods, express, insurance.
  • Instructions / status notes (when present).
  • Manifest / Notes / Tracking (when present).
  • Audit: booking date, required-by, last updated.
  • Create a booking — the green + Create Booking button in the sidebar.
  • Inline edit — click Edit in the drawer header; the drawer body becomes a form. Make changes, click Save changes.
  • Forward to iDrv4 — push the connote into the Ceres TMS for execution.

Click the × in the top-right of the drawer, or click outside the drawer area, or press Escape.
